About us

Cordanda is a free directory of outdoor activities in Ecuador. We want more people to get out and discover the country, and we want organizers to have a good place to show what they do.

Why it exists

Ecuador has páramos, volcanoes, rivers, lagoons, forests and coastline a few hours from any city, but finding an activity usually depends on WhatsApp groups, scattered social media posts or knowing someone. Cordanda brings all of that together in one place so it's easy to find, discover and get out there.

Our goal is to promote tourism in the country and to give guides, clubs, agencies and organizations a platform and a directory where anyone can find them.

Cordanda doesn't charge

  • Exploring, asking and contacting an organizer is free, and you don't need an account.
  • Publishing activities and having an organizer profile is free too.
  • We don't take bookings, we don't charge participants and we don't keep commissions: the arrangement and the payment are made directly with the organizer.
  • The only thing you pay for is featuring an activity, and it's optional. That's how we keep the platform running.

50% of profits go to conservation

  • Páramo conservation projects.
  • Regions of the Amazon threatened by mining.
  • Conservation foundations on the coast.

The places we explore are Cordanda's reason for being. That's why we give 50% of Cordanda's profits as donations to:

What you'll find

Hiking and trekking, mountaineering, land, water and air sports, tours, courses, nature and community experiences, and volunteering, always within Ecuador. Each activity is published by its organizer, with dates, departure point, price and a direct contact.
